Thinking Spring - Class Full!

Thanks to all of you who've signed up for Elaine's "Thinking Spring" class, registration is now closed!

Elaine's last Brass Stencil Class for 2009! 12-13

By popular demand, Elaine will be teaching one last stencil class on Sunday, December 13th, from 2 to 4 pm.

She listened to you and is going to teach the crackle technique using the Dogwood Stencil and the World Globe Stencil. As soon as I have actual samples they will be on display in the store. Anybody wanting to sign up before the spaces are full,

Winter Woods Class is now full!

We're looking forward to seeing you on Sunday for Elaine's Dreamweaver Stencil Class. Don't forget. All you need to bring with you is your adhesive to adhere your finished cards together. For those of you who have an embossing machine like a Cuttlebug, we are now restocked with the Stamping Details Rubber Mat from Dreamweaver. You can dry emboss all your brass stencils with ease without having to use a light box or stylus.

Winter Woods class has One Spot Open!

Elaine's next class "Winter Woods" has room for one more participant. She's going to show us how to use flock, gold leafing and mica powders. She's also bringing some samples using microbeads. And, just in time for the class, we will be receiving microbeads and flock from Martha Stewart.

New glossy black embossing paste from Dreamweaver will be here in time for class along with more stencils, pastes, Perfect Pearls, and gold leaf.

DREAMWEAVER STENCIL HOLIDAY CLASS

Elaine Benedict is back teaching her first Holiday Card Class for 2009 on Sunday, October 4th, from 2 to 4 pm. You will create four lovely greeting cards using Dreamweaver Stencils. Class fee is $30. All you need to bring to class is a dry adhesive. Elaine will provide all the supplies necessary to go home with your completed cards.

March 15 Dreamweaver Stencil Card Class

We now have the samples of the 4 greeting cards Elaine will be teaching on Sunday, March 15th. Class starts at 2 pm. Cost is $30 per participant.

New stencils and new crackle paste will be used in the class. Stop in the store to see the actual samples or click on the image for a larger picture.

Just call to sign up. Remember, Elaine only takes a maximum of 10 students in her class.

Hero Arts "Share Laughter" Card Class February 28th

We're all so "over" the winter and in that spirit, come join us on Saturday, February 28th, at 2:00 pm to make 4 greeting cards in the Hero Arts' style. One stamp - 4 cards! See how you can create different cards with just one clear set of stamps.

Cost for class is $30. You will be given your own Hero Arts "Share Laughter" clear stamp to take home, along with the 4 cards you'll make in the class.

All you need to bring to class is: Your acrylic block, your dry adhesive, sharp scissors, and a ruler never hurts. Actual samples are on display in the store or click on image for a larger view of the cards.

January 31st Polymer Clay Covered Tin Class

On Saturday, January 31 at 11:00 am we will be teaching a polymer clay class focusing on bringing together all the basic techniques to cover an Altoids Tin! What a great way to keep your mints, candies or little somethings in your purse or on your nightstand! (It makes a great gift, too!)

Even if you are new to clay (if you've only dabbled a little) or you want to use your skills to create a finished project - then join us for this fun 2 hour class where you will cover, transfer, border, color and stamp on clay!

All you need to bring to class is a pasta machine, work surface, clay tools, scrap clay and 1 fresh block each of white & black clay. All cane slices, transfer images, liquid clay, crystals, border molds, pigment powders and embellishment items will be provided in class.

Class fee is $45 and will be limited to only 6 participants. Call 847-755-0861 to register.

• Clay blocks from Fimo and Kato are available for purchase in the store, and if you don't own a pasta machine - there is a classroom machine available to share.
• A suitable clay work surface is any non-porus item such as a ceramic tile or plastic cutting mat and a clay blade or craft knife is also handy to bring with you to trim your clay.

March 15th Dreamweaver Stencil Card Class

Elaine Benedict is back with a brand new class using Dreamweaver stencils and pastes. AND - they are releasing a new CRACKLE paste, which she will be using for one of the cards in the class.

Join us on Sunday, March 15th, at 2 pm for the lst Dreamweaver class of 2009. A maximum of only 10 participants. $30

Acrylic "How do I use it" Dec 30th 6:30 pm

Join us on Tuesday, Dec 30th, for our last Tag Class of 2008.

You will make Acrylic Tags that will shed light on all the ways to use this wonderful new album material! You will learn the best ways to stamp, texturize, color, highlight and more. The six Tag Techniques are: (1) What ink do I use? (2) Can I Cuttlebug acrylic? (3-4) This pattern is amazing with colors and textures! (5) Clear cards are a score away. (6) My heat gun might warp the acrylic sheet - what do I do? And a few more exciting techniques for this trendy material.

All these questions and more will be answered during this 'clearly' enlightening class. $15.00 per participant (6 max)
